Here’s why the Federal Register will give you even more information.
The ICD-10 Coordination and Maintenance Committee Meeting has released its ICD-10-CM proposed changes, and nearly every specialty will be affected.
Important: These may not be the only changes approved for October 1, as the complete list will not be released until June in the Federal Register, warns Melanie Witt, RN, CPC, MA, an independent coding expert based in Guadalupita, New Mexico Some of these are merely “editorial changes (mostly to correct typos) and not new codes or anything actually changes how you report these codes.” That’s why you need to stay tuned to the ICD-10 Coding Alert for the latest updates.
