Exactly what hospice payment reform model Medicare officials will propose and exactly when they’ll propose it remains unknown, but you can get some clues to the upcoming change from a blueprint showcased in a recent Open Door Forum.
The model presented by Michael Plotzke of Medicare contractor Abt Associates features seven tiers for Routine Home Care rates alone:
