You can take a break from listening to Serial, Hidden Brain, and other popular podcasts to download a new one from Medicare.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has launched “‘CMS: Beyond the Policy,’ a new podcast highlighting updates and changes to policies and programs in an easily accessible and conversational format,” CMS says in a release.

“The new ‘Beyond the Policy’ podcast demonstrates our commitment to transparency and outreach by presenting CMS-related policies, updates, and innovations on as many platforms as possible,” CMS Administrator Seema Verma says in the release. “This program is a direct response to stakeholders’ suggestions that a podcast would be a modern, user-friendly way to stay informed about CMS.”

CMS has released three episodes so far, addressing the CMS Innovation Center, quality, and physician E/M coding. CMS did not relay any future topics or dates, but offered that “new episodes of the podcast will be released periodically and will welcome a range of subject-matter experts, stakeholders, and Administrator Verma herself,” according to the agency.
