If you fail to download your PS&R report from the new system, it will be you that's on the hook for a late cost report. So says HHH MAC NHIC in an e-mail message to providers. The new Provider Statistical & Reimbursement report system "is Web-based and allows all users to access data specific to their organization, at any time," NHIC says. "You may have previously received Redesigned PS&R reports from us, but they will no longer be provided. It is the responsibility of each provider to obtain their own reports." If you haven't accessed the new PS&R system yet, "you will first need to register for a user ID and password in CMS' Individuals Authorized Access to CMS Computer Systems (IACS)," NHIC instructs. "IACS allows users to obtain one ID and password needed to access multiple Web-based systems, one of which is the PS&R system." Don't delay: "Please register in IACS as soon as possible, as IACS authentication involves a provider verification process that includes the submission of supporting documentation," NHIC urges. "Failure to begin this registration soon may cause a delay in the ability to access your PS&R." More information is at www.eushelpdesk.com/index.html in the IACS box on the right.
