LHC Group Inc. has agreed to buy Halcyon Hospice LLC for about $58.5 million in cash, the Lafayette, La.-based chain says in a release. Cumming, Ga.-based Halcyon operates 16 locations across Georgia, South Carolina and Mississippi, including two inpatient facilities, and has about 400 employees and $41 million in annual revenue. The acquisition will boost LHC’s hospice line to 53 locations in 12 states with more than $110 million in annual revenue, the company expects.
Plus: LHC also has acquired a home health and hospice provider in Louisiana and a home health provider in Arkansas, it says. The annual combined revenue for them are $3.8 million.
