National Chain Makes Acquisition In Alabama

LHC Group Inc. is wading further into the hospice market. It has acquired the assets of Infirmary Hospice Care in Mobile, Ala., the chain says in a release. Infirmary serves Mobile and Baldwin counties in the Certificate of Need state and has annual revenues of $2.5 million.
“This hospice acquisition continues LHC Group’s strategy of acquiring hospice providers located within the Company’s current home health markets,” the Lafayette, La.-based provider says. LHC owns 34 hospice locations in 10 states.
