Genesis HealthCare plans to sell the majority of its home health and hospice operations to Compassus for $84 million, the post-acute care holding company says in a release. The hospice and home health units are “non-strategic businesses” for Genesis, it says.
Nashville-based Compassus will operate more than 165 home health, hospice and palliative care programs in 30 states across the U.S. after the acquisition, according to the release.
