Hospice Compare is now a thing of the past. But its content isn’t. Publicly reported data that was formerly on Hospice Compare is now in Medicare’s new Care Compare tool, which includes eight different types of providers from skilled nursing facilities to physicians. Care Compare has been up since September, but the legacy Compare sites were also still available. “Care Compare offers a new design that makes it easier to find the same information that’s on the original compare tools,” CMS says in a release. “It gives you … one user-friendly place to find cost, quality of care, service volume, and other CMS quality data to help make informed health care decisions.”
