Rural Add-On Creates Pricer Complications

The two PC Pricers CMS issued for HHAs in June were necessary due to the rural addon that took effect April 1. "We regret the additional complication that was created by the two versions," CMS's Wil Gehne said in the July 7 Open Door Forum for home care providers. "But it was necessary to ensure that the results of the PC software remain consistent with the version that's used by the Medicare claims processing system."
