These OASIS-Based Quality Measures May Be Next To Draw Feds’ Ire

Will your data for the OASIS items feeding into these measures hold up?

The 11 OASIS-based home health quality measures displayed on Care Compare are likely about to get much closer inspection, following a new federal report alleging OASIS data self-reporting problems with the falls QM. The measures are:

Timely Initiation of Care

Application of Percent of Long-Term Care Hospital Patients with an Admission and Discharge Functional Assessment and a Care Plan that Addresses Function*

Influenza Immunization Received for Current Flu Season

Drug Regimen Review Conducted with Follow-Up for Identified Issues*

Improvement in Bathing

Improvement in Bed Transferring

Improvement in Ambulation/Locomotion

Improvement in Management of Oral Medications

Improvement in Dyspnea

Changes in Skin Integrity Post-Acute Care: Pressure Ulcer/ Injury*

Application of Percent of Residents Experiencing One or More Falls with Major Injury*
