Get To Know Newly Whittled Value-Based Purchasing Measures

Agencies now have 24 measures to manage under the pilot.

The 2016 HH PPS final rule gives home health agencies the information they’ve been waiting on

for months — the final list of starter measures for Value-Based Purchasing.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services retained all 15 proposed outcome measures,

but culled the process measures by four and the new measures by one. The final starter set includes 15

outcome measures (including five HHCAHPS), six process measures, and three New Measures, CMS

specifies in the 2016 HH PPS final rule released Oct. 29.
