Medicare To Drop These 28 Items In OASIS-D
Two items will also be deleted only at certain time points. Last year, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services said it was dropping 31 items from OASIS in 2019 totally and two partially (see Eli's HCW, Vol. XXVII, No. 11). But when CMS issued the OASIS-D draft form last month, here are the 28 items the new tool deletes: M0903 M1011 As stated last year, CMS will also delete M2102 and M2310 at certain time points. The OASIS-D tool keeps these items CMS originally indicated would be deleted: M1322, M1332, M1610, and M2030. And it adds an item to the cut list: M1313. CMS originally listed the deletions in conjunction with a fact sheet about the 2018 HH PPS final rule.
