New Guidance For Hospice Surveyors Issued.

The big changes to hospice regulations that have taken place recently have officially hit surveyors' books. CMS has revised its State Operations Manual for hospices to take into account the new regs. The 189-page transmittal also includes surveyor guidance. Resource: Oct. 1 Transmittal No. 65 is online at www.cms.gov/transmittals/downloads/R65SOMA.pdf.
