You won't see any big changes from RHHI Palmetto GBA as a result of its Home Health Medicare Administrative Contractor (HH MAC) award announced May 25 (see Eli's HCW, Vol. XIX, No. 20, p. 159). That's because Palmetto is under a stop work order on the MAC contract, it says on its website. "The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) had received a protest of CMS' award to Palmetto GBA," the RHHI says. Palmetto expects to receive a final decision on the MAC contract by September. The notice "does not affect Palmetto's RHHI status or claim processing," points out the National Association for Home Care & Hospice.
