The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has given a green light to a new HCBS demonstration project in Oregon. CMS approved the new section 1115 demonstration, Oregon Project Independence — Medicaid, which “will enable the state to receive federal financial participation (FFP) to provide a limited set of home- and community-based services (HCBS) to older adults or adults with disabilities,” the agency says in a release. “The demonstration will provide supports to meet these individuals’ health needs while also sustaining the needs of their caregivers,” CMS adds.
