The Visiting Nurse Service of New York is saying goodbye to its old name and rebranding as VNS Health, it says in a release. The move “makes it easier to understand and access the full and comprehensive range of health services offered by the organization, and that better reflects its mission and focus,” the agency says. “This transition to VNS Health represents an historic turning point for our organization,” says CEO Dan Savitt in the release. “It unites us as one organization and one team with one clear mission.” All parts of the organization, including VNSNY Home Care, Hospice and Palliative Care, Partners in Care, Behavioral Health and VNSNY’s Care Management Organization, will align under the name VNS Health over the next 12 to 18 months, the 125-year-old nonprofit says.
