UTN Glitch Sows Confusion

Don’t fall for a newly reported claims processing glitch related to Unique Tracking Numbers under the Review Choice Demonstration. The problem: “HHAs in the Pre-Claim Review choice are having claims incorrectly returning with reason code 39621, indicating to remove the UTN,” RCD contractor Palmetto GBA says on its website. “HHAs should not remove the UTN,” Palmetto instructs. HHAs will have to hold tight for a solution, Palmetto says.
