Medicare has updated its home health agency cost report forms, again. The changes apply to cost reporting periods ending on or after Jan. 1, 2024, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services says in Transmittal No. 6 issued on April 29. The revisions affect Worksheet S (revising Part I, line 4, to specify that options “F”, “L” or “N” are reported in column 1, and adding option “H” to Part I, line 4, column 2, for a HHA providing no Medicare HHA services but providing Medicare hospice services during the cost reporting period) and Worksheet D (removing line 29.50 as providers need not report the late-filed notice of admission/request for anticipated payment amount), CMS notes. The updated form also revises edits 1045S, 1215S, and 1030D, according to the transmittal.
