Industry Notes:

Submit Your Provider Relief Fund Report By Sept. 30 Or Pay Back Affected Funds

The COVID-19 public health emergency is getting farther and farther back in the rearview mirror, but crucial reporting for Provider Relief Fund spending persists. Don’t miss the next deadline coming up shortly.

Healthcare providers that received more than $10,000 in PRF or American Rescue Plan Rural payments from Jan. 1, 2022, to June 30, 2022, must submit reports for Reporting Period 5 by Sept. 30, reminds accounting and advising firm Lutz in online analysis. “The deadline to use these funds was June 30, 2023,” the firm points out.

“Providers who miss the deadline will be required to return funds,” warns LeadingAge on its website.

Reporting details are at https://prfreporting.hrsa.gov.

Next up: Reporting Period 6, which covers funds distributed from July 1 to Dec. 1, 2022, will have a deadline of Dec. 31, 2023, Lutz notes. After that will follow RPs 7, 8, and 9.
