Staffing shortages continue to take their toll on home health and hospice providers.

Latest example: The Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington, Minn., has closed temporarily due a lack of staff, it says in a statement on its website. “Healthcare staffing challenges in rural areas are becoming increasingly difficult,” it observes.

However, “replacement staff training is currently underway; we expect the Cottage to return to normal operations with full patient capacity by approximately mid-December,” the facility says.
