Home health agencies in current moratoria areas won’t see any changes for at least six months. So says the Centers for Medicare & Med-icaid Services in a Jan. 29 Federal Register notice.
CMS set the first phase of moratoria in July 2013. “In extending these enrollment moratoria, CMS considered both qualitative and quantitative factors suggesting a high risk of fraud, waste, or abuse,” CMS says in the notice at https://s3.amazon aws.com/public-inspection.federalregister.gov/ 2015-01696.pdf.
