See The Latest List Of Biggest HH, Hospice Agencies
If you’re wondering who makes up the largest agencies in the fractured home health and hospice markets, wonder no longer. LexisNexis Risk Solutions has issued its latest list of top 100 home health agencies and hospices using claims data from 2020. The list of the nation’s five largest home health companies may not be a surprise: Kindred Healthcare (5.97 percent of national market share), Amedisys Inc. (5.04 percent), LHC Group Inc. (4.43 percent), Encompass Home Health & Hospice (3.92 percent), and Accentcare (1.66 percent). The hospice side sees some overlap, with VITAS Healthcare (4.42 percent of national market share), Kindred Health Care (2.86 percent), HCR Manor Care (2.16 percent), Amedisys Inc. (2.09 percent), and Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care (1.62 percent) rounding out the top five. The top 100 home health providers comprise nearly 45 percent of the national market share, LexisNexis notes in an accompanying infographic. For hospice, that figure is more than 40 percent.
