Section J Fall Item Training Is Here

A new educational tool on filling out the Section J items that came with OASIS-D is available. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has posted a “Section J: Health Conditions: Coding the Standardized Patient Assessment Data Elements (SPADEs) Related to Fall” web-based training course at https://pac.training/courses/Section_J/index.html#/. The 45-minute course is divided into six sections and includes interactive exercises to test your knowledge related to the assessment and coding of J1800 and J1900, CMS says. It is intended for all provider types that fill out the J items, including home health agencies.
