If you’re wondering just how many new Medicare beneficiaries are in your potential patient pool, a new report has answers.

As of February 2022, over 64.2 million people are enrolled in Medicare, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services says in a release. “This is a decrease of 6K since the last report,” CMS points out.

Of those, 34.9 million are enrolled in Original Medicare, while 29.4 million are enrolled in Medicare Advantage or other health plans, according to CMS. “This includes enrollment in Medicare Advantage plans with and without prescription drug coverage,” CMS adds.
