Kentucky home health and hospice agencies affected by the severe storms and flooding in the state may quality for some regulatory relief.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is allowing exceptions to the requirement for “All Quality Reporting Program (QRP) reporting requirements, including the reporting of data on measures and any other data requested by CMS for the post-acute care (PAC) quality reporting programs” for Quarter 1 for HHAs and hospices, it says in a message to providers. That data was due Aug. 15.

The exceptions aim “to assist these providers while they direct their resources toward caring for their patients and repairing structural damages to facilities,” CMS notes.
