PT Home Health Owner Convicted Of Kickbacks

A Florida federal jury has convicted a physical therapist of paying kickbacks for home health referrals.

Nelly Anderson, the owner of home health company Dial 4 Care, “hired multiple marketers and paid them kickbacks in exchange for patient referrals,” the Department of Justice says in a release. Anderson billed Medicare “for home health services that were procured through the payment of illegal kickbacks.”

Anderson faces up to 10 years in prison for each kickback offense and up to five years for conspiracy, the DOJ says. She’s scheduled for sentencing Dec. 5.
