Prepare For 2021 Rates

Check your iQIES folder to determine whether you met your Home Health Quality Reporting Program obligations for 2019 — and thus will receive a full payment update come January. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services provided notification for agencies via a report distributed by Medicare Administrative Contractors into HHAs’ iQIES folders on Oct. 7, a CMS official confirmed in the Nov. 4 Home Health Open Door Forum. Failure to comply with 2019 reporting affects an agency’s 2021 annual payment update, reducing it by 2 percent, the CMS staffer reminded forum attendees.
