Post-Acute Parent Co. Buys Utah Home Care Provider

A subsidiary of The Ensign Group Inc. has acquired Symbii Home Health and Hospice based in Sandy, Utah, with branch offices in Layton and Orem. Symbii will be operated by a subsidiary of Cornerstone Healthcare Inc., Ensign's home health and hospice-based portfolio subsidiary, the Mission Viejo, Calif.-based post-acute parent company says in a release. It joins Horizon Home Health and Hospice, Ensign's existing home health and hospice operation in Idaho, and Custom Care Hospice, Ensign's hospice in the Dallas market.
