Give CMS Feedback On F2F Physician Form
If you want to find out more about the face-to-face physician documentation template CMS has issued, tune in to the agency’s March 11 Special Open Door Forum on the topic. The Cen-ters for Medicare & Medicaid Services will hold additional forums on the topic April 8 and May 6, it notes on its website.
In the last forum, agencies suggested that CMS use a template with pre-determined language and check-boxes describing the various reasons for medical necessity and homebound. CMS seemed “receptive to the idea, which is a reversal for them regarding the F2F encounter documentation,” notes the National Association for Home Care & Hospice in its member newsletter.
