Payment System Glitch Corrected, RHHI Reports

Your trouble with Reason Code 34919 should soon be over. After the January update to the Medicare claims payment system, RAPs and final claims submitted using 4010A1 software were incorrectly returning to provider with that code, RHHI Palmetto GBA says on its website. But a fix for that problem went in Jan. 14, reports National Government Services. "No provider action is necessary," NGS says in a message to providers. "Impacted claims will be reprocessed." LUPAs are also paying incorrectly, Palmetto reports. No word on a fix yet.
