Palmetto MAC Transition Requires Claim Change For You

Starting Jan. 24, Palmetto GBA will go from your RHHI to your HHH MAC. Home care providers will see few changes when Palmetto becomes the home health and hospice Medicare Administrative Contractor, it notes in a release about the change. The main thing: HHAs and hospices must use Palmetto GBA's new pay0r identification number (11001), which must be submitted with all claims, the new MAC notes. (For more details about Palmetto's RHHIto-MAC change, including the impact on chains, see Eli's HCW, Vol. XX, No. 2, p. 13.)
