Palmetto Initiates Fix For Hospice Infusion Pump Claims

One more HHH Medicare Administra-tive Contractor has revealed its timeline for fixing holdups related to hospice claims containing infusion pumps.
Take action: The fix requires MACs to override reason codes W7061 and W7072. “Pal-metto GBA implemented the override function on July 16, 2014,” the MAC reports. “Hospices can now resubmit (PF9) their returned claims for processing.”
Reminder: MAC CGS already announced it was releasing held claims for the issue by the end of the month. National Government Services had not made an announcement on the topic at press time.
