New Hospice Item Set Manual Debuts
Expiration date is now more current. Before you have to worry about HOPE, you still need to take care of HIS. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has issued an updated Hospice Item Set Manual V3.02. “The updates include an extension of the document’s expiration date and several minor edits and date corrections,” CMS explains in a message to providers. “The updated documents include the HIS Manual V3.02, HIS-Admission V3.02, [and] HIS-Discharge V3.02,” the agency continues. “The HIS Manual Change Table V3.01 to V3.02 will provide details.” More specifically, “adjustments were made to the footers, examples and tables to reflect more current dates,” CMS says on its HIS webpage. “Minor corrections were also made,” it adds.
