New Diagnosis Codes Are In Updated HH Grouper Software
Get ready for a new version of the Home Health PPS Grouper Software Package for claims starting April 1 or later. “Included in the v04.1.23 HH PPS Grouper software update are the International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM) diagnosis codes, effective beginning April 1, 2023,” the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services notes on its Grouper Software page. The added diagnosis codes do not correspond to reimbursement changes, a CMS Summary of Data Changes document indicates. They include multiple codes for financial abuse (T74A1X- series), maltreatment and neglect (Y07- series), and more.
