See the more than 100 diagnosis codes added to the upcoming updates to the Local Coverage Article: Billing and Coding: Home Health Occupational Therapy (A53057) and Local Coverage Article: Billing and Coding: Home Health Physical Therapy (A53058). Reminder: The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is moving diagnosis codes out of local coverage decisions (LCDs) and into billing and coding articles such as these. “The LCD and the Billing and Coding Article are companion documents,” CMS explains. “They will be related to each other, and Medicare Coverage Database users can see the relationship and access the related document by navigating to the ‘Related Local Coverage Documents’ section in either the LCD or Article.”
