Media Praises Home Care For Snowstorm Efforts

Home care workers of one Missouri agency got recognition for their extraordinary efforts to help clients in the Midwest blizzard earlier this month. "Thousands of home health care workers had to make their ways through the snow to get to patients who otherwise could wind up in some serious trouble," Springfield, Mo. TV station KY3 noted in a story. KY3 profiled Oxford Healthcare worker Rachel Tripp, who walked through the blizzard to help client Michael Cook transfer out of bed. "I take the chance of having another fall and having to have the EMTs come and pick me up off the floor," Cook told the station. "Coming over in the snow and blow, (Tripp) was a life-saver."
