Mark This Claims System Dark Day On Your Calendar
Don’t expect to interact with most Medicare claims system features on May 15. All HHH Medicare Administrative Contractors will experience a “dark day” to allow “the Peraton Virtual Data Center (VDC) mainframe [to] transfer to a different operational location,” MAC CGS explains in a message to providers. “Providers may experience limited or no access to claim status, eligibility, reopening/appeal status and financial claim information,” MAC National Government Services says in a message. “You may continue to submit electronic claims on May 12-15, but they will not continue to process until the Fiscal Intermediary Standard System (FISS) nightly cycle runs on Tuesday, May 16,” CGS instructs. “We do not expect any delays to your payments,” the MAC adds.
