VBP prep is heating up along with summer temps. Keep your eyes peeled for sample Value-Based Purchasing reports coming this month. “For learning purposes only, [the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services] will publish two sample reports in July” — one for Interim Performance Reports (IPRs) and the other for Annual Total Performance Score and Payment Adjustment Reports (Annual Reports), CMS says in its June VBP newsletter. “The intent of these sample reports is to orient HHAs to the content and format of the performance feedback reports and help HHAs understand how CMS will assess HHA performance under the expanded HHVBP Model,” CMS says. The reports won’t contain any actual HHA performance data, the agency underscores. Next: In August, “the HHVBP TA Team will host a live event designed to assist HHAs with understanding the format and content of the IPRs and Annual Report, using the sample reports as examples,” CMS continues. Registration for the event will open soon. More educational resources are coming down the pike, too. Watch for the new How Measure Performance Becomes Care Points video; the How Care Points Become the Total Performance Score (TPS) video, and the How the Total Performance Score (TPS) Becomes the Final Payment Adjustment on-demand recording and accompanying written resource, CMS says.
