Houston HHA Owner Heads To Prison

An owner of multiple Houston home health agencies has drawn a five-year prison sentence for Medicare fraud.

Naomi Moore, the owner of Friend’s Place and Metro Health Services, pleaded guilty to a $10 million fraud scheme back in April, the Department of Justice says in a release. Moore admitted to billing Medicare about $10.7 million by fraudulently using names of beneficiaries that were not patients, did not need home health services, and were not treated by a physician. Moore also created false documents.

Moore also received three years’ supervised release, the DOJ adds.
