Home Health NOA Details Emerge As Implementation Date Nears

The Notice of Admission for home health agencies is fast approaching its Jan. 1 implementation date, when it will replace the no-pay Request for Anticipated Payment. Now new NOA submission details are in Change Request 12227. But don’t worry if the technical requirements don’t make a lot of sense. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services “plans to issue a separate Change Request to update the Medicare Claims Processing Manual to describe the changes to providers and provide detailing NOA submission instructions and revised billing instructions,” the National Association for Home Care & Hospice assures its members.
