Home Health Company To Fork Over 6 Figures After Self-Disclosing Excluded Employee

Another reminder to check your employees against the HHS Office of Inspector General’s exclusions database comes from California.

“After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Always Home Nursing Services … agreed to pay $281,780.10 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law,” the OIG says on its enforcement actions webpage. “OIG alleged that AHN employed an individual that it knew or should have known was excluded from participation in Federal health care programs.”
