The enrollment requirements for suppliers of services under the new home infusion therapy (HIT) benefit are out. Enrollment began this month, according to Oct. 30 CR 11954 from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. “Providers have been anxiously awaiting these instructions … but CMS needed to wait until the CY2021 home health final rule was released,” the National Association for Home Care & Hospice says in its member newsletter.
“Providers are concerned about the time frame for processing the applications since the Medicare home health benefit will no longer cover certain HIT services beginning January 1, 2021,” NAHC notes.
