HHA Owner Pleads Guilty To Stealing Employee Tax Money

You don’t have to be violating Medicare rules to run into serious criminal charges. Joann Braggs, the owner of Southfield, Mich.-based Beth Harold Home Health Care Inc. and Beth Harold Private Duty Care Inc. could face up to five years in federal prison after pleading guilty to a felony for spending more than $1.2 million of withheld employee income taxes on herself, reports Crain’s Detroit Business newspaper
