HHA Chain Reports Mixed Earnings

Earnings were up but profits were down for HHA chain LHC Group Inc.'s latest quarter. The Lafayette, La.-based company reported net income of $15.3 million on revenues of $168.1 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31. That compares to a $15.8 million profit on $141.5 million in revenues for the same period in 2009. The 2011 5.2 percent rate cut affected reimbursement for episodes in the last two months of 2010, says LHC CEO Keith Myers in a release.
