You should make sure your emergency preparedness extends to your health IT domain. And now you have a little help to do so.

The Sequoia Project, the non-profit, 501c3, public-private collaborative that is also the Recognized Coordinating Entity (RCE) for the HHS Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) Trusted Exchange Framework Common Agreement (TEFCA), has published a free, downloadable white paper titled Pandemic Response Insights and Recommendations. The think tank’s Emergency Preparedness Information Workgroup (EPIW) compiled the resources over several months, looking at care gaps, policy fails, threats, and emergency response, a Sequoia Project release says.

The white paper includes analysis of COVID-related issues; 17 recommendations for stakeholders to boost health information exchange (HIE); and “Next Steps” advice.
