Measures and scoring are up for rearrangement.

Interested in serving on a Value-Based Purchasing technical expert panel? You have until Sept. 27 to throw your hat in the ring.

VBP contractor Abt Associates is convening a TEP on potential refinements to the VBP model, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services says. CMS has contracted with Abt “to support the implementation of the HHVBP Model, including the development of refinements to the measures and scoring methodology,” CMS notes.

“We are seeking individuals with differing perspectives and areas of expertise, such as home health, health equity, measure development, performance measurement, quality of care, and/or value-based purchasing,” Abt says. “We are interested in representatives from patient advocacy groups, clinical and administrative staff from home health providers, and methodologists and researchers.”
