Home health agencies that haven’t gotten much use out of those Health Equity Confidential Feedback Reports Medicare released last fall may find a new tool useful. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has issued a Frequently Asked Questions document and Methodology
Report about the reports at www.cms.gov/medicare/quality/ home-health/home-health-quality-reporting-training. For example: “The 2023 PAC Health Equity Confidential Feedback Reports are strictly confidential and released to providers for their reference,” CMS explains in FAQ 2.1.4. “CMS’s intention behind releasing these reports is for providers to use their results to develop strategies to reduce the negative impacts of social risk factors (SRFs) on measure outcomes for their patients. Results from the 2023 PAC Health Equity Confidential Feedback Reports do not impact publicly reported quality program scores or provider reimbursement.”
