You can get concrete data about how COVID-19 affected Medicare beneficiaries — and the healthcare providers that serve them — in a new “COVID-19 Snapshot: Impact on the Medicare Population” document. For example: Seventeen percent of COVID-19 patients discharged by the hospital went to home health as of April 24, 2021, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services reveals in the snapshot.
