The problem: “Providers who utilize our eServices or EDI submission process have indicated that they are receiving error messages indicating that they have submitted a duplicate request” for pre-claim review, HHH Medicare Administrative Contractor Palmetto PBA says on its website. “Upon investigation, we have found that the provider has not submitted twice. In some instances, our system has duplicated the request, then sent a rejection message to the provider indicating that the second submission is a duplicate,” Palmetto details. For now, agencies must hang tight. “We are actively working on a solution to correct the issue,” Palmetto pledges.
