Glitches with Review Choice Demonstration claims continue. The problem: This time, for RCD home health agencies that selected Choice 5, “a number of ADRs were sent to providers in error,” HHH Medicare Administrative Contractor Palmetto GBA says on its website. (Reminder: Choice 5 HHAs are subject to a random sample of pre-payment reviews.) The solution: At press time, claims ADR’d in error were set to be released on Oct. 6. But “once the identified claims have been released, the provider should respond to those claims that were not released,” Palmetto directs. “Please check DDE and/or remit to understand actions taken on claim.” In other words, if after Oct. 6 the claim is in SB6001, “the claim will require a response to the ADR letter,” Palmetto explains.
